Advent – Season of Hope

Nana turns on her hearing aid–what a miracle! She had forgotten the sweetness of her grandson’s voice.

Bandages are removed. Grandpa can see again with almost perfect vision, now unclouded by encroaching cataracts.

Their granddaughter, a ballerina, dons her dancing shoes after weeks of therapy. Released from the chronic, throbbing pain that had haunted her sleep, she can leap! She can dance!

I wait for your healing touch on my troubled heart, Lord.

On that day the deaf shall hear the words of a book; and out of gloom and darkness, the eyes of the blind shall see. The lowly will ever find joy in the Lord, and the poor rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.   Isaiah 29:18-19
