You’ve Got Mail!

You’ve Got Mail – what does that mean?

Mail–for us? We’ve yet to learn how to use this email system, are just learning. What is so important that it can’t wait for ordinary mail? What is so unimportant that it doesn’t warrant a telephone call? You’ve got mail – but how do we open it?

We fumble as we try to click the mail open, jump as it suddenly appears, then slide our spectacles down our noses to read.

“Mom, Dad, on my way. Will be home by Christmas. Love, Joe.”

We’ve got mail. How wonderful!

Lo, I am sending my messenger to prepare the way before me; and suddenly there will come to the temple the Lord whom you seek.       Malachi 3:1

This part of a series of reflections on the Church year. Wishing you all the joys of the season!
