Merry Christmas! The Promise is Fulfilled!

Christmas – Season of Promise

The promise of pregnancy is fulfilled; a baby is born. Yet with each birth the promise remains–for years to come–of a life to be lived, of parental promises to be kept to the newborn.

Promises fulfilled; promises to keep. And so life goes on. People are born and die. But the promise of their lives remains to grace our lives today, to give hope to tomorrow’s world.

Jesus was both a promise fulfilled and a promise for generations to come.

“I come to proclaim good news to you–tidings of great joy to be shared by the whole people. This day in David’s city a savior has been born to you, the Messiah and Lord.”    Luke 2:10-11
