Broken Resolutions

 January 19, 2017

Ordinary Time

The parking lot at the local Planet Fitness is packed. I have to wait for a car to leave in order to find a spot. Inside, all of the bikes are taken. I have to wait my turn.

New members are focused on their New Year’s resolutions. All I have to do is wait them out. By spring there will be ample parking again and bikes available as these members give up on their goals.

No matter how tired or cranky we get. No matter how many broken resolutions, God never gives up on us. God never breaks his resolution to love us!

I will never forget you. See, upon the palms of my hands I have written your name.”  Isaiah 49:15b-16a
