When Your Child Dies . . .

 April 14, 2017

Good Friday

When your child dies it is unnatural, out of the natural course of order.

When your child dies, life is turned upside-down, topsy turvy, nothing makes sense anymore.

When your child dies, there is no explanation possible, try though others might to give you one.

When your child dies, you lose something priceless, you lose yourself, you lose your stake in the future.

Mary saw her child die. She stayed by him till the end. She who experienced his birth also witnessed his death. She remained faithful till the end. No words are given her, for there are no words.

Standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary of Magdala.     John 19:25
