Nothing Remains New Forever!
Easter – Season of New Life
New. Brand-new. Unmistakably new, like the unique cry of a newborn baby, a cry that disappears by the time the infant is three months old.
My new car with its new car smell. If I could market that scent, I’d make a fortune.
Brand-new. Smells new, looks new. No crumbs lodged in hard-to-reach places. No scuff marks. No nasty odors from hauling wet dogs and kids. Ah, that new-car smell!
I drive off the lot and splat–a small stone hits the windshield. The crack unfurls across the driver’s line of vision.
No thing stays new forever, but in you we find everlasting life and newness.
My sheep hear my voice. I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish. No one shall snatch them out of my hand. John 10:27-28
