Ordinary Time – Feast of Dominic
Dominic, great preacher and teacher, he left the confines of a contemplative lifestyle in order to be an itinerate preacher. Founder of the order of Preachers, his mission–to speak only of God, or with God–lasts long after he is gone. His ministry continues: a continuation of that great mandate by Jesus to preach to all nations.
Dominic, you wore out many a sandal, walking through this road of life. May we wear out, too, in proclaiming the wonder of God, the good news of our faith.
For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ, and him crucified. 1 Corinthians 2:2
