Stuck in the Traffic Jam of Life

Ordinary Time – Season of Stability

Stuck in traffic, inching along making no progress. You’ve made plans but now you’ll be late or not even make it at all. Sometimes life is like that. Stuck in one place, bottled in, unable to move. You feel like you’re getting nowhere fast. Plans you’ve made have fallen apart. Time schedules are thrown out of whack so that you have to make new goals, set flexible schedules.

And then the bottleneck clears up and you’re sailing along life’s highway at breakneck speeds. You’re making progress again. You find you are not that far off course after all, and the traffic jam is forgotten . . . almost.

You have visited the land and watered it; greatly have you enriched it. God’s watercourses are filled; you have prepared the grain. Thus have you prepared the land; drenching its furrows, breaking up its clods, softening it with showers, blessing its yield.         Psalm 65:10-11
