Worry Beads
Our Lady of the Rosary, October 7
Anxiety, creeping up on me, sneaking up till it grabs me by the throat, like a lion on the prey, swooping in to attack. Little fears and worries grow bigger in an instant. I find myself beset by worries and I don’t know what to do.
So I turn to you in prayer. When beset by fears, when my thoughts betray me, I turn to the rosary. The simple prayers, beautiful prayers, repeated over and over, soothe my anxious soul, help me put aside worries and anxiety, until, at last I find peace.
All these devoted themselves with one accord to prayer, together with some woman, and Mary the mother of Jesus and his brothers. Acts 1:14
