Thank You for this Day in the Sun
Season of Gratitude
Flowers struggle to bloom for a few days of glory. Mosquitos live but a single day. Trees exist for hundreds of years. Is life less precious for being short? Is life more special for being long?
Each person lives for the time allotted to each, whether a single day or a century.
Thank you, Lord, for my life, whether brief or long, whether bitter or sweet.
Thank you, Lord, for this–my day in the sun.
Our days are like the grass; like flowers of the field we blossom. The wind sweeps over us and we are gone; our place knows us no more. But the Lord’s kindness is forever, toward the faithful from age to age. Psalm 103:15-17
