Around my household, St. Patrick’s Day is a big event. When you marry an Irish man you promise to love, honor and be the des!ignated driver on St. Patty’s Day!
St. Pat’s Day is also a big day because he’s my name sake. I’ve grown to love all things Irish, not just my husband. Irish music, dancing and Celtic spirituality. I’ve visited Ireland twice. On the first trip we stopped at St. Patrick’s mountain, or Crough Patrick. We only stood at the foot of the mountain, but now this picture is the screen saver on my computer and I’ve added climbing it to my bucket list – if my knees hold out!

I also hope to visit St. Patrick’s Purgatorium at Lough Derg some day. I learned about this place while researching for An Irish Slip Step two years ago. I also learned about the history of Northern Ireland, the IRA and Celtic Spirituality.
