Coming Home

 November 25, 2019

Even though it has been thirty years since I moved out of my parents’ house, whenever I visit, I’m a child again. I feel safe and protected sleeping in my mom and dad’s home.

Even though it has been years since I moved out, whenever I visit, I can’t wait for another serving of Mom’s mashed potatoes and gravy, or another one of Dad’s stories. I feel nurtured and supported sitting at my parents’ table.

We are so grateful for the love shown to us by our respective parents and all they taught about marriage.

Patricia
