Compromise
He really would rather stay home. But in the end, after some nagging, he decided to go to the party with people from my workplace.
As it turned out, things were not as boring as I had expected. I had fun, got a chance to be witty. We both mingled, and before I knew it, it was time to leave.
Not too bad, I confessed on the way home.
I’m glad you were there, I told him. And I am, even though we didn’t get to spend much time with each other. I appreciate his willingness to compromise and do something for me.
Just as I hope you’d do the same for me!
