two people riding bikes down a tree covered path

Riding the Falling Waters Trail

 June 22, 2020

Michigan is a great state for riding bikes along the many trails. It’s great exercise, safe during this pandemic and good for your marriage.

Riding the Falling Waters Trail

They love cool summer mornings, riding thier bikes along the Falling Waters Bike Path. She looks over at her spouse and can see she’s holding him back. He longs to let loose, ride at his top speed, give himself a workout.

“Go on,” she tells him. She watches from behind as he soars down the path, getting ahead, but not too far.  Having had his fun, he stops and waits for her to catch up to him.

Sometimes in marriage you have to let each other go on ahead or go by different paths, but never so far that you lose sight of each other.

Reflections:  Have there been times in your married life that you needed to go by separate paths in order to get to the same place?
