In celebration of Mothers Day last Sunday, I’m sharing some selections on motherhood this week from my book, Daily Meditations (with Scripture) for Busy Moms. Enjoy! Today’s selection is Supermom. Who are the Supermoms in your life? Send them this blog post and thank them for all they do.
Faster than a speeding tricycle.
More powerful than a stuck zipper coat.
Able to leap tall mounds of laundry with a single bound.
It’s . . . Supermom!
Supermom’s incredible hearing helps her block out all sounds save the near-death knell of her children. Her x-ray vision allows her to look past piles of dirty dishes and dust-balls in the corners. With superfast speed and agility, she maneuvers past toys and clothing throughout the house without a single fall. Equipped with a cup of coffee, her radio tuned to her favorite station, she retreats to the tub, settles into hot water and bubbles, and becomes . . . invisible.
“Come to me, all who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28
