The Perfect Mom
Continuing my tribute to Mothers this week, today I’m featuring The Perfect Mom, taken from my book, Daily Meditations (with Scripture) for Busy Moms. Is there such a person as a “perfect” mom. If there is, I’m sure I would dislike her, like the mom in this reflection. Forward this blog post to the moms in your life, perfect or not!
The Perfect Mother
There she is again. That perfect mother with her perfect child. She’s so calm and composed as she walks through the grocery store. Every time the child asks for something, the mother calmly says yes or no and the child accepts her explanation.
I hate her.
I snarl for no reason at my son lest he even think to ask for anything.
Meanwhile the perfect mother loads her cart with diapers. Letting me know there are more at home, probably equally obedient.
If only I could entice her child to knock over a cereal display!
