A House of Prayer Crafted by Love

Advent – Season of Hope

The old woman rocks in her rocker, engulfed in the folds of the afghan, keeping warm in the womb of this house she has called home for so many years.

She has lived here for so many decades–lived and loved and raised her children.  And now her children return to visit her, arriving from the corners of the country, accompanied by grandchildren and friends.  They come as if on pilgrimage, for this home is sacred ground.  This home is a house of prayer, prayer fashioned of struggles and joys, of doubts and–hope.

For my house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.  Isaiah 56:7
