
Coming Home from Vacation
Ordinary Time – Season of Stability
Sometimes the best part of family vacations is coming home. Back to familiar territory with familiar faces and friends. Back to the expected, the routine, to places and people you can count on.
Children, outside of their normal structure and support system of friends can be outright terrorists with their demands. Any time we get too far away from our normal routine for too long it can wreak havoc on the system.
Sometimes a bad vacation can be good. It can help you appreciate home even more.
As they were making their way along, someone said to him, “I will be your follower wherever you go.” Jesus said to him, “the foxes have lairs, the birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head. Luke 9:57-58
